I recently came across an organization that has goals I can stand behind. The Alliance for American Manufacturing is an organization that can help steer this country in the right direction. With the correct policies, more faith in products made in USA and more jobs to produce those products, the United States can reduce unemployment, create more domestic wealth and job security across the nation.
The Alliance for American Manufacturing has been lobbying for some policies that will certainly boost economic growth. They are looking to the future....I'm glad somebody out there is.

Writing a Résumé
Anyone else have trouble selling themselves on a résumé? Personally, I hate it. Talking myself up on paper (or in person) has never been a strong point in my personality. I work hard. My past and current employers are aware of that- but what about potential employers? How can they possible know that I'm such a hard worker?
Is it proper to write on my résumé "hard worker." Who takes that seriously? Apparently, from all of the advice on résumés, we should use key words like "motivated" and "determined." Maybe it's time to break out of the box and write something that's downright blunt and honest.
Uh-uh-em.
Dear potential employer,
I am one hardworking son of a bitch. My résumé might not paint a true picture of who I am but, believe me, I work until the job is done right. Even though I am not the "most qualified" on paper, I learn quickly and retain what I have learned to work in an ever more efficient manner on a daily basis. I care about the work I am involved with and the finished product. I still have pride. Unlike the trend in America today, I believe that America can and will always be better than anyone at creating and producing the finest goods in the world. I will be better than anyone else at what I do- that is my nature. I will not settle for second-best at my job. I think through what I am doing and constantly look for ways of improvement. A chance. All I am asking for is a chance to show you what I am capable of.

Personal Training
Don't get bullied into signing a contract for a personal trainer. Ask to see credentials, and after you've seen the credentials, look up the certifying organization- not all certifications have the clients' best interest in mind.
When it comes to physical health, we should all be active 7 days a week. Even if we only walk for 20 minutes, we are still asking our body to do more than sitting and watching television. Try getting out of the house and going for a short walk around the neighborhood. Or, meet a friend at the mall and walk the entire mall to mix things up and have a buddy to talk to.
Also, lifting weights a few days a week will keep our muscles and bones strong. If you're meeting with a trainer, create a plan for resistance training that will make your daily life more comfortable. Even if you're not with a personal trainer, working with weights a few days a week in a "functional training" cycle will make daily activities easier and result in less aches and pains.
If you're looking at joining a gym, negotiate for a better rate, ask to meet the training staff, and negotiate for a better rate to work with the personal trainers.
